Description:

·      We are looking for a full time Maintenance/Handy Person for our care home David Gresham House in Oxted, Surrey.

·      Pay: £13.83 per hour with paid mileage of 45p per mile when travelling between our homes if using your own vehicle.

·      The role is based in Oxted but there will be a requirement to travel to other homes in Surrey and Berkshire as required.

·      You must have at least one year’s experience of working in a similar role to be considered for this position, be flexible and capable of working without supervision.

·      Duties in summary are (full job description available on request):

o   Ensure that all delegated maintenance tasks with the home are carried out to a high standard.

o   Promptly report any issues to the relevant Registered Manager and the Facilities Manager.

o   Ensure that all records pertaining to mandatory checks and health and safety matters are maintained in the stated time frames.

·      You will report to the Facilities Manager.

·  Occasional callouts may be required outside of these hours.

·      You must hold a clean driving licence with use of your own vehicle.

Requirements:

  • Live in a 10 mile radius of Oxted and be prepared to travel to other homes as necessary.
  • Reliability with good time management skills.
  • Be able to use initiative.
  • UK driving licence and use of own car.
