We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Level 2 or 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing high-quality childcare and early childhood education. This role involves creating a nurturing environment for children, fostering their development through engaging activities, and ensuring their safety and well-being. The Nursery Practitioner will work collaboratively with other staff members to support the learning and growth of each child.

Duties

  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to build strong relationships and foster a supportive community.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development in young children.
  • Manage daily routines, ensuring that children's needs are met in a timely manner.
  • Provide leadership within the nursery setting, guiding less experienced staff and supporting their professional development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, documenting their achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with parents to share information about their child's development and encourage involvement in nursery activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in childcare practices.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
  • A qualification (Level 3/Level 2) in Early Childhood Education or a related field is required.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children and families.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage daily operations within a nursery environment.
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and understanding their developmental needs.
  • Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided within the nursery setting.
  • Knowledge of best practices in childcare and early years education is an advantage.
