Chantrey House Nursery & Pre-school are looking for a qualified level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join our team, caring for children from 3 months old to 5 years old.

We are open Monday - Friday, 8am - 6pm.


Duties include;
- Follow policies and procedures including safeguarding and health and safety requirements.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children in the early years age groups.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Work in a team, having respect for others and collaborating with the staff.
- Work in partnership with parents and carers to ensure the positive well-being and development of each child.
- Have an inclusive, kind and polite attitude, meeting the needs of every child in the nursery.
- Complete records and safety checks

Skills
- Strong knowledge of child development and care of young children.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to create engaging and stimulating learning experiences for children.
- Patience, empathy, and understanding of children's needs.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to work well under pressure and problem solve
- Organizational skills to plan activities and manage time effectively.


DBS checks will be completed for the member of staff who is successful.

Essential skills/Experience We are looking for someone who has a level 3 or above qualification in Early Years education and care. A minimum of 1 year in a childcare setting is preferred. Knowledge of Safeguarding, SEND, Healthy and Safety, First aid training and the EYFS is preferred although we do offer refresher training.
Ideal Candidate/Profile We are looking for an individual who is patient, calm, caring and nurturing, Who can think quickly to problem solve and enjoys a challenge. Someone who is confident to communicate and interact with children and with parents and enjoys planning and leading play and learning activities.
