Hours: Full-time, permanent (4 days per week)
Working pattern: 07:30 – 18:00, Monday to Friday

The Early Learning Academy is looking for a passionate and experienced Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our dedicated team in Ellesmere Port. The role
As a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner, you will create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment that supports the learning, development and wellbeing of children under five. You will plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), build strong relationships with families, and play a key role in supporting each child’s individual development.
What you’ll be doing
- Creating a safe, welcoming and engaging learning environment.
- Planning and delivering creative EYFS activities that support children’s development.
- Observing, assessing and recording children’s progress.
- Acting as a Key Person and building positive relationships with children and their families.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Supporting safeguarding, health and safety, and equality and diversity practices.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery.
- Participating in training, development and team meetings.
What we’re looking for
Essential
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with children under 5.
- A strong understanding of EYFS and child development.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- The ability to observe children, assess progress and plan next steps.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, caring and enthusiastic approach.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable
- Paediatric First Aid qualification.
- Experience supporting children with additional needs.
